Unrecognized Database Format?

Guest

I installed Access 2007 about 2 months ago. I opened a file I was using with
my previous version, and besides a few tweeks, it worked fine. Yesterday, it
started giving me a "Unrecognized Database Format" when I tried to open it.
Its still wont let me opn it today. Does anyone know why all of a sudden I'm
getting this, and how to fix it?

Thanks!

This could be a symptom of corruption. Try to do a Compact & Repair (make a backup of your database first). IF that
works, I'd import all the items to a new, blank database to be safe.

If that doesn't work, post back here and we'll try to help further.

To add to Scott's replies there are other things to try with
recovering from corruption.

For more information on corruption including possible causes,
determining the offending PC, retrieving your data, links, official MS
KB articles and a list of vendors who state they can fix corruption
see the Microsoft Access Corruption FAQ at
