Unreadable message during startup

Hi,

I have a problem when I start my computer, switch users, or login/logout.

I get a message that is unreadable. The text is gibberish and is not always
the same size of text. One time it is only 3 or 4 symbols and the next it
might be 3 or 4 words.
I cannot close it or bypass it without hitting the "ok" button. That button
being the only text that I can understand.
I have scanned use Norton Internet Security and SystemWorks to try to find
any problems. I have also used various other spyware and malware scanners to
try to find the problem

Can anyone help?

This **may** be a Windows Genuine Advantage problem as I have seen this
behaviour on client's machines and it was Windows Genuine Advantage causing
this problem.

Please download Autoruns from Sysinternals.

http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Autoruns.html

Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file. Double-click on the file
"autoruns.exe". Go to the "Winlogin" tab and uncheck "WgaLogon". Reboot your
computer and see if this message box appears. If it **does not appear** then
please visit the WGA forums where a Microsoft employee /may/ be able to
assist you. Be sure to give a full detailed description of your problem and
what you believe the cause to be.
