Unread Mail Folder Not Working

After accidentally deleting and recreating the Unread Mail folder, my new mail no longer is also being tracked in Unread Mail. Does anyone know how to get that synchronization restarted?
 
Please reference note on Recreating Unread Mail folder in Outlook 2003 for answer.
