Hi,

[Outlook 2003 SP1]

When I delete messages without reading them (obvious spam, for
instance) they show up in my "Unread Mail" folder. Is it possible to
change this behaviour?

Thanks,
Jan Roelof

The "Unread Mail" folder is not actually a true folder. It's a search
folder which just displays all unread messages no matter what real folder
they're actually in. The deleted messages in the Unread Mail folder will go
away when you empty your Deleted Items folder. If you don't want a mesasge
to show up there when you delete it, permanently delete it by holding down
Shift when pressing Delete.
