Unmountable_Boot_Vol,ume

I get an Unmountable_boot_volume error when I attempt to
power up my Compaq Presario 700Z. What can I do to get
aroud this and get it fixed?

Power off, open the case and reseat the hard drive IDE ribbon cable at
both ends.

Otherwise go to the website of the hard drive manufacturer and
download their hard drive diagnostics.
