My screen on my compaq presario 700z note book has a black screen and i can see the background a little bit . It seems like there is a light out. What happend?
Your backlight or inverter may be out. The first thing I would try doing is to plug in an external monitor. If that works, then
you are looking at replacing the backlight and/or inverter.
