UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_DRIVE after installing Burrrn

Hi all,

I was installing the program called Burrrn on a working XP Pro system. The
program didn't work saying that it couldn't find the ASPI driver or
something of this sort. I looked into the folder it created during the
installation and found a reg file there with the following in it:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Aspi32]
"ErrorControl"=dword:00000001
"Type"=dword:00000001
"Start"=dword:00000002

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Aspi32\Parameters]
"ExcludeMiniports"=""

I then ran regedit to compare what was actually in the registry and found
that the second record (\Parameters) was missing. So, I ran this file, thus
updating the registry. It worked as expected, however the program still
couldn't find the drive. Then I decided to restart and boom - BSOD! Now I
can't even start in safe mode... What I get is:

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
STOP: 0x000000ED(0x82789AD8, 0xC000009C, 0x0, 0x0)

I am not sure it is related to what I did with the registry, but this is the
only thing I can think of... Any ideas... I am going to try running
chckdsk/r from the recovery console...

Thanks,
/Mikhail

Chkdsk /r seems to have helped. I am back in business but still don't
understand what caused the problem...
