Unlocking Accounts on XP Professional

I have had to put passwords on two accounts on my XP Pro
system. Since I did that, it appears to have problems
recognizing the correct password. Then the system locks
out the account, incorrectly, I believe. Where do I go
to unlock the account again to make it available?

K, if you are constantly having this problem I suggest doing the following
1-Unlock it by first logging in as an Administrator and resetting the password from control pane
2-Next Create password recovery disks for them two accounts and keep them in a safe plac
3-Now you can use these disks to recover the password on these two accounts should you ever forget it again or start having problem

Thanks for the tip. I don't think it is a case of
forgetting the passwords though. I have only just started
using passwords on these accounts. The problem happened
on day one and seems to be sporatic. Sometimes it takes
the password, sometimes it doesn't. Seems like 1/2 the
time it fails and then the account gets locked out. How
long is the account locked out for? Is there a place
where I can set the number of password failures before it
locks the account?

This really hasn't worked for me. Plus once I create a
new password as Administrator, access to all the old user
files is GONE! This is a Microsoft problem and they are
not dealing with it@!
