Unlock files with Access Denied with Administrator Profile

I need help or advise to open or unlock folders belonging
to a previous user id which was deleted from the system.

The user id was deleted because it was propagating a
virus on the Windows XP environment. These folders are
still on the harddisk but were denied access by
Administrator.
