Unlock Computer Screen

I have just arrived home to find the family have done
something strange to the computer and it is on an unlock
screen, This would be ok but the keyboard seems to be
locked also, so I cant enter in the username and password
requested. The mouse is still in action but I am at a loss
what to do. I can not reset the computer at all.

Please help

Is the keyboard plugged in?

And yes you can reset the computer, theres always the technicians
reset if all else fails. :) Not that good for the OS though.
