My Niece entered the wrong password on my WindowsXP-PRO Now Locked

My 11yr niece wanted to get into my computer and I wasn't in the room. She
kept entering what she thought was right many times (to many) now I am locked
out and unable to enter the correct password. I know that there should be a
way to reset the password. I have 2 user accounts mine (with administrator
access) the original Administrator account which I have never touched and
never put on the welcome screen. Please any advice on how to unlock the PC so
I get back in. Thank you.

The password for the built in Windows Administrator account is normally
blank (none).

In XP Home, boot the computer into Safe Mode. Do this by repeatedly tapping
the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will get you to the right
menu. Navigate using your Up arrow key; the mouse will not work here. Once
in Safe Mode, you will see the normally hidden Administrator account. The
default password is a blank.

In XP Pro, you do not need to go into Safe Mode. At the Welcome Screen,
do/press the
Ctrl-Alt-Del keys twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in
"Administrator" and whatever password you assigned (default is no password)
when you set up Windows.

Once your in then:
Start/Run/type in:Control Userpasswords2 and press OK
Next click on the Advanced tab and then click Manage Passwords.

Simply log in using the built-in Administrator account (which
cannot be deleted) and modify the desired account(s) and use Start > Run
"control userpasswords2" to modify the desired account(s).

By design, the only way to log into the Administrator account of
WinXP Home is to reboot into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing
CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome Screen will produce the standard login
dialog box.

By the way, unless you've changed the default settings, the system
should automatically "unlock" after 15 minutes, allowing you to log in
using the correct password.
