I HAVE NEVER PUT IN A PASSWORD FOR
OUR USERS ACCOUNT. I'VE NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE. OWNER IS
LISTED AS DON ---- , ADMINITIRATOR JO ----- .
WHEN NEW UPDATES COME ON MY COMP. I NORMALLY LOAD
THEM. THE LAST TIME I LOADED THEM A BOX STARTED APPEARING
ON MY COMP. IT SAYS TO PUT IN MY PASSWORD AND THAT THE
OWNER OR ADMINITIRATOR CAN ONLY UNLOCK THE WINDOW WITH THE
CORRECT PASSWORD. WE HAVE ONLY USED ONE PASSWORD IN
ANYTHING, SO I TYPED IT IN . IT SAYS WRONG PASS WORD.
NOW IF I CLICK OK I CAN PLAY GAMES, READ MY MAIL AND
DO A FEW OTHER THINGS BUT I CAN'T DOWNLOAD OR OPEN SOME
THINGS. AND I HAVE BEEN SENT SOME MAIL THAT I HAVENT
RECEIVED. MOSTLY E-MAIL WITH ATTACHMENTS.I HAVE TRIED ALL
I CAN THINK OF EVEN GOING BACK TO A MONTH AGO. I STILL
GET IT. PLEASE HELP I'M HANDY CAPPED AND MY COMP. IS MY
MAIN ENJOYMENT. JO

Hi Jo! You are correct...this situation should NOT exist.
There are many reasons why, however... . Primarily, did
you buy your computer used or refurbished? If so, the
user account names probably belong to the former owners,
who should have deleted them when they sold the computer
to you. The reasons they may not have done the right
thing are many. Bottom line: THEY and not YOU are most
probably in control of your computer. Call (as in
phone...lol) Microsoft ... they will help you if you ask
nice. Tell them: "Hi! I'm handicapped and (etc ...
explain the story). Can you help me? I am happy to put my
computer in YOUR hands by remote, right now." Give this
one a shot first. Regards!
