Unlikely readings of motherboard temperature

I've recently built a pc from scratch. It has a Pentium 4 3.2GHz CPU on
a BOXD915PCY motherboard. So I've installed the Intel Desktop utilities
to monitor the CPU heat, and to my surprise the readings were as
follows:
CPU area: -14 deg.C, System Zone 1: 124 deg.C and System Zone 2: 125
deg.C.!?! I've
installed a Zalman CPU Heatsink-fan which should be efficient but not
to the point of bringing the CPU temperature bellow freezing point I
think, and with these onboard temperatures my motherboard should be
close to melting. Any suggestion as to why this is going on?

Try upgrading the mobo BIOS or using an alternate temperature monitoring
software,my recommendtaion is Speedfan or MBM.

I've tried Speedfan as well, same result. I guess the sensors must be
damaged, maybe the weight of the heatsink-fan has bent the components or
something like that. All I can do is hope that the heatsink-fan does the job
as it should. There's no way you can tell if it is contact with the CPU when
you fix it to the motherboard.

I doubt the sensors are damaged. My board ead -13C when I first got it. There
was an updated BIOS that fixed that and a couple other things.
