How can I uninstall a program I can't find listed on computer?

A confusing request.
How do you know that you have an unwanted programme? What does it do and
what notifications are you receiving that alert you to its prescence or
activity?
If it is some spyware, then you can use SPybot Search and Destroy to
identify and remove any nasties that fall into the catagory of Spyware /
Adware / Malware.
It's a free download, so install it, update it online and then reboot into
safe mode and run the application to identify and remove any crud.
