Unknown Hard Error

Hey; I recently installed XP on my new system. I had trouble getting it to start. I turn the system on and it boot to the windows start screen, after a couple of seconds I get a blue screen with: Stop: c0000221 unknown hard error \systemroot\system32\ntdll.dll. I hit the reset button and restart. I may have to do this a couple of times before the system finishs booting. I replaced the ntdll, dll file in DOS to get it to finish installing, and I thought that corrected the problem
Is there something else I can do to stop this error message so I dont have to reset the system?

Guessing you read the Microsoft Article that pertains to your issue:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314474

In reading that, it warns you that if this persists, a hardware or network
problem may exist. You may want to run some diagnostics on your hard drive.

Yes I have read that and I have replaced that file from the installation disk. I think I will try and search Microsoft for another copy for the file. Do you know any thing else that would help?
