Unknown error with Deleted folder

Cannot delete files in the deleted folder in Windows Mail. Started suddenly
and have run spyware and antivirus programs and still no resolution. How can
I get these files deleted so as to remove whatever email is causing this
issue? In the email preview pane it says something about not enough memory or
disk space and there is plenty of both available yet. Any ideas?

Interference from antivirus programs often causes such problems. What
antivirus programs do you have?

For a temporary fix, download and install this hotfix, with Windows Mail
not running:

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether you have a 32-bit version
of Vista or a 64-bit version, try the hotfix for the 32-bit version first.
The Vista SP1 update includes this hotfix, but takes longer to install.
