I have the same problem. 941090 has not help. Messages I cannot delete I have
both in Inboz and Outbox. These messages look like this:

"Message could not be displayed
Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again."

The messages I cannot delete look like this:

Message could not be displayed
Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again.

941090 does not help!

Have you tried installing both the 32-bit version of 941090 and the 64-bit
version? The one that doesn't match your version of Vista will just refuse
to install. If neither helps, but you have a message that refuses to open,
move to the Drafts folder, or delete, you probably need to try the
WORKAROUNDS section of 941090.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

If, instead, you get such a message when reading a newsgroup when
trying to read a message that partly leaked through your message
rules but won't open, just click on the message, then the Drafts
folder, then the newsgroup folder again, and the message causing
the problem will disappear.

Have you tried both the basic procedure and the advanced workarounds
given in KB 941090? If none of that helped, or you don't want to bother
with the advanced workarounds, upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
