Uninstalling XP/SP2

The uninstall programme only lists "Windows XP SP2" - if I delete that
does it remove originally installed basic XP, or just SP2?
 
If you have to ask THAT question, recommend you do not do that.
Are you planning to install another OS (Operating System)? Or, do
you want to reinstall XP?
Clean Installation XP (this procedure will format your harddrive),
and reinstall WindowsXP without the SP2 upgrade.
You can delete XP and then you'll have a nice door stop.

how does one reformat the hard drive, with windows xp
