Uninstalling Windows XP pro

Hi all,
I have bought a copy of Windows XP pro and installed it on
my desktop (Fresh installation). Now I have bought laptop
and want to install that windows XP pro on my laptop and
orignal Windows 2000 back to my desk top machine.

How can I uninstall windows XP pro from my desktop and
install it on my laptop. If I install it on laptop and
activate it without uninstalling it from my desktop, what
whould happen?

Assuming a retail license (OEM licenses are not transferable),
simply remove WinXP from the computer it is currently on, and install
it onto the new one. If it's been more than 120 days since you last
activated that specific Product Key, you'll most likely be able to
activate via the Internet without problem. If it's been less, you
might have to make a 5 minute phone call.
