Uninstalling Windows 2000

I just installed Windows XP on a computer with Windows 2000. I installed a
new hard drive so that I wouldn't lose all my previously installed software.
Is there any way to uninstall windows 2000 without having to reformat my
initial hard drive

Do you ever boot from it?
I mean is it simply a secondary drive now?
Doesn't show up in any boot menus, etc?

If so - delete the Windows 2000 directory...

Do you mean that you have a dual-boot system, with Windows 2000 and all your
old software on one drive, and Windows XP on the new drive?

It isn't clear what you're trying to accomplish, but if you want to remove
Windows 2000 and want to be able to run all your old software under Windows
XP, you can *not* do this. The old software will have to be reinstalled
under WIndows XP, from the original media.
