uninstalling fonts

I have tried repeatedly to delete fonts but, they won't delte...the window
comes up asking permission and I say yes and nothing happens...help

Does this happen with all fonts or just some in particular?

It may be they get deleted but the system puts them back (or refuses to
delete them because they're required).

I have approximately 1,450 fonts on my system. Approximately 60% are between
10 & 100 KB. Are you out of hard drive space? Arial Unicode MS is 22.1 MB,
but you wouldn't want to delete that.
