cannot delete Tahoma font

I want to delete the Tahoma font from the Fonts folder in Vista and
instead manage it with a font program I have installed so that I can
activate and deactivate it as required.

Vista won't allow me to delete it, instead this message appears:

"This action can't be completed because the file is open in another
program Close the file and try again"

During the delete process I have all programs closed. I have tried
deleting with certain processes not running but still no luck.

Is there any way to determine which program is using the font? Any ideas
how I can delete it?

Thanks for any help!
Marty

I believe that it's a System Font... in other words, leave it alone.

Sounds like "Tahoma" is the main font being used by the operating system;
therefore you can't delete it because it's in use. The program using the
font is Windows Vista itself.

IIRC, Vista uses Segoe and Segoe UI. I think XP used Tahoma. Arial is also
used. All three could be protected.
