Uninstalling BCM 2007

Having experienced major issues with this product we have decided not to
pursue our interest in it. (Reporting inflexibility; not a true contact
Management system; huge memory requirements, etc, etc). We went to the
Microsoft support web site and reviewed the instructions for uninstalling,
which seemed simple enough. Got to Control Panel - add or remove programs and
choose Business Contact Manager 2007 and then select Remove. This seemed to
work but it said it failed to remove SQL Express 2005. That is no longer
listed as an available program in the Control Panel add or remove program
list - how do we get rid of it as it is still showing in Task Manager as
taking up valuable memory resource.

Bill added: We have had to disable the SQL Service in 'Services' to stop it
taking up the vast amounts of memory it seems to want to use - over 250Mb at
one stage! Why does this program as wel;l as it predecessors require so much
memory. What is worse is it never releases it when the program using SQL is
not running. This, apparently is the design of the product - one has to ask
why?. In addition the so called uninstall does not remove Business Contact
Manager heading in the Navigation pane - but it does remove all
customizations to the Outlook toolbars!!!!!! This is extremely frustrating as
our E-Mail favourites have to be reset again.

Good morning - there are no options available in control panel add or remove
for SQL after running the remove BCM 2007.

The only way to stop SQL from grabbing any more resources is to go to Admin
Tools - Services and disable SQL!!!!
