Dear members of the microsoft.public.windowsxp.messenger newsgroup. I did
install the MSN messenger plus on my Windows XP PC and I do realize today
this software installed also a "research" banner that appear down on my
screen every time I do open an Internet Explorer Windows.

Please could You tell me how to uninstall such banner ?

Many Thanks.

Oh dear .. you never read the End User Licence Agreement did you! You just
clicked and installed it without paying attention!

Well, firstly, don't use any kind of Spyware eradicator as that'll mess it
up. Uninstall Messenger Plus as you normally would. That will remove all
traces of the (optional) sponsor that you installed. Then run the Messenger
Plus installation again, this time *READ* the EULA and select the option
marked "No - I do not agree - Do NOT install the sponsor". That way, you'll
only get the Messenger Plus application installed and nothing else.

Lesson here is of course READ before you click!!
