When we bought our computer it came with Windows ME, which we have found out
isn't worth much. We bought the new Windows XP Home Edition and installed
it. Now I have found out that it would be best to uninstall the Windows ME
because they are both on the computer now since we didn't do an upgrade. How
do I uninstall Windows ME without screwing everything up?

If you didnt upgrade to xp,then ME probably is running as C: XP D: or E:
drive
??? Either way,if xp runs other than C: Then you should boot to xp cd,at xp
boot
menu,press r For recovery,press enter for password,type:DiskPart In
DiskPart,
delete ME and XP,leaving the hd raw, then create a partition, press ESC key,
type:EXIT Reboot to xp cd,select, install xp.To install xp you'll need the
ME cd
to verify "upgrade".W/O a retail windows ME cd,then back in recovery, just
delete
the ME partition,create one,press ESC,type:FORMAT D: /FS:ntfs D: being the
new partition...
