Hello,

my problem is that while cleaning spyware, i accidentally unilstalled
something that prevents my computer to play any music. In WMP i get error
that says " cannot play file.... check your soudcard..."... in Jukebox i get
error " >>>>>>Soundcard problem waveout not supported <<<<" i do not have
the CD that came with the computer and im unable to restore my computer
to an earlier time... what can i do, is there a place where i can get a
driver for my soundcard, if so where, how do i know what soundcard do i have.

im using an H*P pavilion a306X and WMP9 i will provide any information
needed.

-- any help will be greatly appreciated.

The information provided does not tell us what sound card you have, so we
can't just point you to a website to download the appropriate driver.
You can try the "Add Hardware" wizard in Control Panel to redetect the sound
card.

i tried to check what soundcard i have, but when i try to open the "add
hardware" from the control panel it just does nothing, i also tried going to
the device manager and i get nothing ... i mean nothing in there... i dont
know what could be wrong, the only error message i get at start up is that
"rrnnly.exe" has a problem and needs to close. i do not think its related ,
any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

The file "rrnnly.exe" is not a WindowsXP system file. It is probably
a file pertaining to one of your installed apps/hardware. You can go to:
Start>Run>type MSCONFIG and click OK. See if the file rrnnly.exe
is listed there and uncheck it>click Apply>Close>reboot. Another
solution is to do a search for "rrnnly.exe" file and rightclick it and
click Rename. Rename the EXE extension to BAK and reboot. You
can always rename it back to EXE at a later time.
One additional note: Run a spyware/malware app, it could be.
