uninstallation

I have a "top search" icon on my desktop that I did not
intentionally install and after searching everywhere for
it's origin AND location, I cannot find it and therefore
cannot delete it. It is a complete eyesore and an
unnecessary nuisance. Can anyone suggest a way for me to
find and get rid of it??

If you've got the Top Search search spyware, you probably have more of
the same. Download and install a spyware removal tool such as Spybot
Search & Destroy and/or Ad-aware. Scan and remove spyware.
