Uninstall Xp Sp2-RC v.2096

i've already installed the sp2 release candidate version
2096 some time ago. now i tried to install the final
version but it says that i have to uninstall the rc-
version first. but i don't know how to uninstall it since
the spuninst.exe crashed with some handle-error.

does anybody know how to uninstall this sp2-rc-version?
help'd be appreciated
