i tried to uninstall norton 2002 off a friends pc and its asking for the
instalation disk to remove ths software the problem is the software was
already installed on the machine when he bought it , ive tried o remove it
manually but this still leaves about 20 lines in the registry which i dont
want to mess with realy and when the machine boots xp is still looking for
norton and flashes a error message.........my question is there an easy way
of unistaling software applications without the instalation disk and am i
safe to delete the registry values without causing more trouble .....thanks
once again to anyone who can help me out

Have you tried the Norton (symantec) site? I had problems uninstalling
2004 and they had tools and instruction - they may have the same for
2002, although I think that it's supported now.

Hope that helps a bit
