Hello,
I managed to crash a PC while installing SP1 the other day
(no need for applause, the install was interrupted) and
since I have no way to reinstall XP locally my box is
supposed to go back to corporate in Iowa to be fixed. I
checked and the process will be to format C: and do a
clean install. This is not good because I have my PC set
exactly the way I want it now, so I have a question.I have
place my HDD in another PC and I'm going to remove the
data and settings but I can't save my apps. I can see the
defective Windows folder. Is there a way to remove the
aborted XP service pack and return my HDD to the condition
it was in prior to the attempted install? I know that a
restore point was created, but is there a way to use it?
Is it possible to move an app like Front Page from one
drive to another and have it function properly? Any help
or brainstorm ideas are appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
