How do I uninstall Internet Explorer so I can reinstall
it? I am having a problem. When using Internet
Explorer, I receive the following message:
"An error hasoccurred in Internet Explorer. Internet
Explorer will now close.
If you continue to experience problems, please restart
your computer."
I have restarted the computer many times, and still the
same message. I want to uninstall the program and
reinstall hoping that I clean up whatever problem I
have. But, I find no way to uninstall IE.
I have tried to install IE6 (over the current
installation since I cannot remove it) from the CD I used
to install it originally, but receive the following
message:
"Setup has detected a newer version of Internet Explorer
already installed on this system. Setup cannot
continue." I have done no updates since the original
installation. Don't know how this could be.
I just don't know what to do next. Noted: I have had
serious virus problems that I am working through. But,
so far, IE has worked fine til this afternoon. Also, IE
seems to run fine in 'Safe Mode'.
