How to uninstall and re-install IE6 under Win-XP? I tried Control Panel ->
Add Remove Programs but IE6 is not listed there.

no, you can't remove IE6 from windows XP by add/remove.
even some guys have suggeted third party uninstallers, I
prefer the simplist way by doing 2 things: 1)rename
iexplorer.exe to iexplorer_.exe (please note that
iexplorer.exe can't be delete from its internet explorer
folder in program files) and 2)delete registry keys from
HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. the IE6 is
deactivated via this maneuver.

If you bought you computer with XP Home Edition pre-

installed, you're IE is integrated with the operating
system. Try calling the manufacturer of your computer to
see if they can email you instructions on how to
reinstall IE.
