no, you can't remove IE6 from windows XP by add/remove.
even some guys have suggeted third party uninstallers, I
prefer the simplist way by doing 2 things: 1)rename
iexplorer.exe to iexplorer_.exe (please note that
iexplorer.exe can't be delete from its internet explorer
folder in program files) and 2)delete registry keys from
HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. the IE6 is
deactivated via this maneuver.
installed, you're IE is integrated with the operating
system. Try calling the manufacturer of your computer to
see if they can email you instructions on how to
reinstall IE.
