FWIW, there's no real need to uninstall Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007 will
upgrade it.

Everything I have seen says to uninstall Outlook 2003 first. I did go into
the control panel in to add/remove and tried to install Outlook 2007 that
way. It says that it is unavailable. Is there another to install the
Outlook 2007. I wanted to try the Outlook 2007 and the Business Contact
Manager in it.
Thanks!

Click on "Not available" and change it to "Run from My Computer"

When I check on unavailable nothing happens. I can click on it with the
right or left side of the mouse and get nothing other than unavailable.

Well, then, uninstall the prior version.

Ah. I hadn't reviewed the original message. Did you try a Detect and
Repair or a reinstall of Outlook 2003? I suppose you could try backing up
the Office registry key, then ripping Outlook out of that key and deleting
the Outlook folders, but I'm not sure whether that would work or not.

How do you manually remove Outlook 2003?

I told you: delete the registry keys and the installation folders. You
might also have to check in C:\Windows\Installer to look for any msi file
that reference Outlook.

I was hoping that someone could show me how to delete Outlook 2003 manually.
I understand what you are saying below but I don't know the step by step on
how to do it.

I'm assuming you know how to run WIndows Explorer. That's how you delete
the on-disk files.

As for the registry keys, run regedit delete the keys find at
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook and
the same places in the HKLM tree. Make sure you back up the registry first,
though.
