I recently placed XP on my system that I had 98 on. I
tried to delete Microsoft Office 2000. (Probably didn't
want to do that anyway). At any rate because my winword
program is in a subfolder a message comes up that it is
searching for the program whenever I access Winword. My
computer guy says I need the disk to properly uninstall
it. I can't find the disk. What to do?
Thanks,
Chick

Your computer guy is right, you need the disk. You do have some options if
you have the CD key. You can use any Office CD that is the exact same
version to install Office and even create a copy of the CD. You paid for the
right to use the software, not necessarily the CD media. If you have neither
the CD key or the CD, you are most likely out of luck. If you contact MS for
a replacement disk, you will need the CD key.
