Where does Vista save uninstall information for Windows updates? Once an
update proves problem-free, I like to remove the uninstall to prevent
inadvertent back-outs.

Thanks

If ever you need to repair your Vista installation
using the Vista DVD, the DVD won't have the
new updated files. The repair procedure will
have to uninstall the updated files before the
repair can be made. If you remove the Windows
Update uninstall files, then the repair will fail.

Well, Installed Updates information is stored under Programs and Features >
Installed Updates, but you can't alter it in anyway except to uninstall an
update.

So there are NO $NTUninstallKB... files/folders for Vista under C:\Windows,
as there are in XP??

What about the $hf_mig$ folder??

Tnx a bunch!
