Can no longer uninstall programs in Vista

I recently purchased a new laptop (less than 1 month ago) with Windows Vista
Basic. I had inadvertently downloaded yahoo toolbar. When I tried to
uninstall the program my laptop froze. I restarted my laptop and went back
to Programs and Features to try and uninstall the yahoo toolbar again but it
now does not even give the option to Uninstall/Remove/Repair any of my
programs. Also, the information about the programs (such as installed date)
no longer say anything under the tabs. I am very frustrated with this
problem, can someone tell me what happened and how I can fix it.

Use Vista "System Restore" and select a restore point prior to loading Yahoo
Toolbar.
Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Had the same problem. When I restarted my comp it was gone. Was it only a
temporary file? SR is a bit drastic.--

Sorry - I see you did restart and still had it. Anyways my Yahoo is gone and
I didn't use SR. I discovered if I accessed certain sites, like Yahoo's
Flickr, I got the toolbar. You may have gotten rid of it but it keeps
returning if you go to a Yahoo site. Good Luck. Wayne
