I am unable to isolate Fp from office 2000 to unistall. I have tried this:
controlpanel -add/removeprograms -select office 2000 -change -(the window now
changes to MS office setup momentarily, then opens office 2000 maintenance
mode) When I select/highlight Frontpage the options are repair and install.
There is no change/remove option in this window. How do I get to the right
window? Thank you, Elena

Try reinstalling first and then attempt to uninstall it.

Thanks Mike. I'm running wxp pro. I will be downloading the Fp program from
limewire. I have choice of file types, zip or ext. Which one do I use? I
also have a choice of Fp 2000, or 20002. Which is better at uploading? I've
been advised by the server and the computer retailer/tech support to do a new
installation because my current Fp 2000 will no longer allow me to upload to
the server. Thanks, Elena

What is the error message you get when you try to publish to the server, as installing a standalone
version or upgrading may not solve the problem, and may cause more problems.

Thanks Thomas for jumping in here.
FYI:
1. We have recently changed from a local dial-up to Verizon dsl. My
computer has a wireless USB adapter. The modem is on another computer in the
next room. Verizon denies any problem at their end.
2. We have turned firewalls off on both computers to attemp ftp. using Front
page.
3. Two frequent Error messages: server unexpectedly closed the connection,
and Could not find server at ftp.... Sometimes I get an error message right
away, (during page listing), and sometimes the files are almost all uploaded
when it disconnects.
4. Other networks: Tech support at dollarhost have tried it on other
networks and it works fine.
5. Leap FTP: Dollarhost tech walked me through publishing at LeapFTP.
After several attemps (server disconnected each time) the web files uploaded.
Wow! Leap is fast when it works! Now the problem is, only about 1/2 of the
changes I made will publish. I uploaded the files two more times, but all
of the data is not being published.

Ok, if FP work prior, then the issue is not with FP. This had to do with your connection, which is
controlled by IE. However you have also indicated that you also had problem using LeapFTP, so that
indicated the issue is not even IE related. It seem to point to your wire USB adapter driver or your
modem.

OK. I'll try verizon dsl support again. I also will put my web on a disk and
try it on another computer & network. Thank you very much. Elena
