Want to uninstall Adobe Reader 8.0 but Control Panel Add/Remove also shows
"cannot uninstall" Adobe Reader Update.

Scroll down and download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility Package.

In XP go to Start, then Search and look for MSICuu2.exe. When the icon
shows up, run the program. After its done, you will get a list of files.
Click on Adobe and it will remove it.

HA! Haven't you read MS posts and Adobe Forums? Adobe support is out on
extended vacation--or just left Adobe!
 
Try uninstalling the Adobe Reader Update first, any security updates for
Adobe Reader, and then uninstall Adobe Reader.
Both the Adobe Reader Update and any previous/subsequent updates should
show the dates when they were installed. Uninstall using the latest date
first.
