On loading Outlook full message is.. The Add-in "Outlook Scan" (
C:\program...) cannot be loaded and has been disabled by Outlook. Please
contact Manuf for update or uninstall Add-in.

We removed the orginal virus software, this is looking for the old one.

Examine the add-ins in whatever version of Outlook you are using and disable
that add-in

Was Mcafee now Norton but I guess my question was not clear enough - How do I
uninstall the add-in? ie where do I go to do this please? I am running
Outlook 2007 as part of the Office suite.
Thanks

In Outlook, Tools->Trust Center->COM add-ins. Remove the .dll from there.

For anyone following this thread. We found the answer today. It is a common
Outlook 2007 problem-evidently. You have to go to your user dir/ local
settings/microsoft/outlook folder. Delete the extend.dat file
