Uninstall ActiveDirectory

Dear all,

How can I unistall my active directory. I did with
DCPROMO, but after few steps it says unable to communicate
the domain controller. Is there any way to uninstall AD. I
hear about "metacleaning" but how. pls help what is the
best way to uninstall AD.

I am not sure why everyone is so obsessed with cleaning
metadata, but it really isn't the best way to do things.
First of all, what are the errors that you are receiving
when trying to run DCPROMO?

There is a file under %systemroot%\winnt\debug named
dcpromo.txt. That file should contain all of the errors
that you are receiving. More than likely you have dns
entries that are missing and that can be resolved pretty
easy. From there you can run the DCPROMO and be done
with it.
