I have a forst with two tree(two domain).
now I want to remove one domain that is root forest domain.
I transfered Domain Nameing Master and Schema Master rules
and Global Catalog to new other domain but when I run
dcpromo it say can not uninstall Active Directory becouse
other tree depends on it.
How I unistall AD from root forest tree?

I suspect this is a case of trashing the forest and
starting again with the configuration you actually want.

The forest root domain is absolutely the start, I don't
think this can be changed.

However, I have heard windows 2003 servers can handle
forest migration - so maybe you can get another server
(win 2003) add this to the domain, then do forest
migration to move domain 2 out of the forest into a new
one!!, I am not sure, but may be worth investigating.

I've never heard of forest migration in W2K3, but you can use ADMTv2 to
migrate objects between forests.
I think that you think about cross-forest trusts, but that's another
thing...

Hello.

You will be unable to completely remove the forest root domain. Perhaps
your only option is to simply reduce the forest root domain to a single
domain controller (or recommended two for fault-tolerance) and leave it as
an "empty" root domain.

If the root domain is lost, the entire forest will no longer be usable.

There are no means to do this, really!
The AD architecture doesn't permit this operation even in W2003.
