Unidentified File

Over the past few months this icon(~) appears on my
desktop when I am connected to the internet. It is not
picked up by my Norton Virus Checker. If I fail to
delete it, I find that some files appear with the ~
prefix. These files cannot then be opened but the
original file remains accessible.

Can anyone identify this file?

Do you use Outlook Express?

It outlines the problem that you appear to be having, and
supplies a couple of fixes
