Unicode?

I accidently installed a program with russian language.
Even after uninstall / deleting the program, somehow it looks like as if
unicode has changed. The fonts in some windows look different (smaller).
Some special characters like é are not shown well in for e.g. Outlook.
Some programs like Registry Mechanic, won't start anylonger because of
unicode problem. What can I do to repair Windows?

The Fix-All solution that immediately comes to my mind is System Restore.
Open it up and pick a point (date) before you installed the Russian language
program and run system Restore. Depending upon how sophisticated the Russian
language thing was it may have automatically created a restore point prior to
installing. I have noticed a lot of new software now does that. However, I
always creat a Restore Point before I do ANYTHING.
