ungroup fields

I'm working with a form originally created by someone else in Access 2003.
There are several text boxes grouped together and I am unable to ungroup them.

I've seen the suggestion to go to Arrange --> Remove, but the Remove button
is greyed out for me when I have the fields selected.

Any other suggestions?

Select the grouped controls
On the Arrange tab, click the button on the control layout section,
that is to the left of the tab order button. (it does not have a
label) This is the ungroup button. the button above it is the group
button.
