Ungrey certain items on the outlook toolbar

I have recently received my PC back from hospital and there are a number of
icons on the toolbar which are permantly greyed out such as reply, reply to
all along with certian options on the drop down menus inlcuding import and
export. Please can soemone let me know how I can ungrey (activate/make them
work)?

Try:
deleting outcmd.dat with Outlook closed and restart Outlook
remove your email accoutns and add them back.
