Help! I did a Windows Update on one of my computers and it has gone
into a blue screen death mode.

This is a dual boot FAT32 Dell 4100 with W2K/W98. Windows 98 boots up
fine but the W2K is hosed after the updates. I have tried going into
Safe Mode to uninstall the updates but it hangs at the login screen.

Blue screen error message is Stop 07F (0000000D more 0s)
UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

Windows Knowledge base points to WinNT problems and possible RAM
corruption. I have replaced the RAM with an identical machine but the
problem remains.
How can I fix this or get into Safe Mode to uninstall the updates?

I have gotten lucky and solved the problem. I was able to boot into
Windows with the Boot to VGA mode (or whatever it's called) and
uninstall several updates including the .NET 1.1 one. I then updated
the Nvidia graphics drivers and installed the updates one by one.
Everything worked fine then. I have omitted the .NET for now.

I suspect one of three things: 1) either the old video drivers were
conflicting with the updates somehow, 2) one of the updates somehow
became corrupted during download or installation, 3) .NET conflicted
with something already on the machine.
