Unexpected terminations

Recently, some strange things. Windows Help closes immediately when I click
on a link in the help section. Adobe Acrobat 6, when attempting to make a
pdf from within MS Word, terminates and closes. My McAfee VirusScan
subscription stopped updating automatically. These problems seemed to have
started when I replaced my HP scanner 4370 with an HP Scanner 4850, but I
honestly cannot say whether they the problems are related to this or simply
coincidental. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey REwer you are not alone, I have a similar problem. My computer keeps
vanishing to a blue screen and saying "PHYSICAL MEMORY DUMP COMPLETE!"

Lots of seemingly independant crashes may have a common hardware
related problem.

Probably RAM, or bad capicitors.

TO test ram, downloat memtest86+ from www.memtest.org.

To look for bad capicitors (little soda cans) open up the case, and
have a look. If any are bulging or leaking, that's a problem. It means
a bad motnherboard.

While you're there, make sure that ALL of your fans are spinning, and
the computer is relatively free of dust. (Overheat issue).
