I have windows Vista in my laptop, and I am trying to set up Windows Live
mail, but verytime a try to send an e-mail I get this message:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'test', Account: 'jorge arriaza', Server:
'SMTP.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
and my Lap top is on and running it's my server ATT? or did I set it up wrong?

Can someone explain me what is wrong? Me or my server?..or how can I fix it.

Thank you

I might be able to help. If I don't help then one of the more experienced

You can attempt to diagnose the problem by searching Microsoft, especially
the Technet. For example:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Search/en-US/?query=error number: 0x800ccc0f&ac=1

Most of those results don't apply to Windows Mail. One of the applies to
Outlook Express but it probably applies to Window Mail too; see:
Troubleshooting error messages that you receive when you try to send and
receive e-mail in Outlook and Outlook Express
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/813514

You should look for other relevant results from the search, but the KB
article (813514) says that the problem could be caused by either the
configuration "of your AV software" or "of your personal firewall software".
Do you have your AV software set to scan email? If so then try turning off
the scanning. I am not suggesting you disable the AV software; just the
email scanning part.

That error message didn't come from Windows Live Mail, it came
from Windows Mail, two different programs.
For that server you need to enable the SSL option:
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced,
then check the SSL option (both incoming and outgoing servers need it)..
