Unexpected sounds

When I open a new page in IE 6, I get a sound through my
speakers that sounds like gun fire from a video game.
This happens even if I turn the volume down on the
explorer bar. Of course if I turn the speakers down it
goes away... along with any other sounds I may want to
hear.... thoughts?

Hi,

You may want to review the configured sounds for your
computer.

Open the Control Panel.

Click on the Sounds configuration box.

Review the listings for the offending sound. When you hear
it, you may remove that option.
