Using explorer in windows XP to view files, I've started to see two file
types,CHP type in normal text and MYC type in blue text. I don't know the
difference, and why the MYC type is now displayed, and what if anything to do
about it.

Hi

The files with blue text are compressed.

Blue text signifies compressed file. The Properties will disclose Size
and Size on Disk. The latter being after compression.

Hope this helps.
